My friends and I try to take a week's, or at the very least a weekend's, hike on the Appalachian Trail every summer. One of them actually just started his journey to hike the whole thing from Georgia to Maine! I know I wouldn't be able to do something like that, but he's really into so more power to him. Sucks that I wont see him for close to 6 months, but I'll try to meet up with him as he passes through CT/MA.
Here are some pictures from a trip I took to Glacier National Park in Montana this past summer:
And an older one from another trip to Montana. Tons of smoke due to the wildfires happening at the time
wow those pics are awesome. Might have to check out Montana someday
The Appalachian Trail is pretty crazy as is the Pacific Crest Trail. One of my buddies might do the John Muir Trail. I don't know. Those seriously long treks take a lot of planning and money
I'm big into camping and i'm planning another trip back to Turkey Run Indiana this summer. I'll have to see if i can dig up a few pics from last year. I also love to fish.
The hike I posted pictures of in the first post, I began suffering from altitude sickness...I was getting headaches, dizziness and nausea. I also fell a lot on the way down. It was really annoying. Not to mention I was basically freezing myself by wearing five or six layers of clothes that couldn't breathe.
I slipped in mud in the middle of february and fell on a sharp stick on the ground that split my top lip open and I was spitting blood all the way back.
Gonna go up Ben Nevis with my mate soon, fucking ridiculous how expensive it is to get there from London but meh. I just rebuilt this PC so have no pictures on it currently. The best climbs I've done are prolly Jungfraujoch, Mont Blanc and some mountain in Canada (can't remember name but I actually got pictures from it, will find em soon).
Wish the weather was like that when I got to the summit haha.
