All of a sudden the little box asking me if I want to use Auto-Complete for Windows/IE forms started coming up when it never used to, and there's no 'don't ask again' checkbox or anything... I didn't change any settings... Anyone know how to get that to fucking stop?

emma's antique so ive never used windows xe but i imagine it would be pretty much the same. right click the the ie "E" icon on your desktop and go to properties, then click the content tab, then the auto complete button.
make sure it's set the way you want it. just because you didnt change it doesnt mean someone else didnt-i recently had that exact same thing because somebody who wasnt supposed to be in here didnt want me to know he was useing my pc, he knew to erase the places he went but was to stupid to realise it was going to erase my urls too... stuff does change itself sometimes though!

IF it was set the way you want it, BUT not working the way it is set, use the ie repair tool. in win98 it's with system information in the accessories folder of yer program list-i know it's somewhere else in every other version though and it's been along time so i dont remember where... if ya cant find click the help button and look under ie

don't listen to the linux nerds.
Just eat your balls motherfucker! If you call me nerd your totally wrong.. I´ve been thinking to choose linux. I´m not a big fan of it. BUT i´ve seen it working much better than WinFUCKINGdows..

linux isn't convenient for desktop use cause setting up stuff is a huge hassle, really, no matter how much wizards your distribution might have, you'll 100% probably going to have to get down and configure things manually at some point... and it gets really tedious :-/

right now i don't have any linux installed... i screwed up my last one by doing "rm -rf /*" by mistake instead of "rm -rf *"... and i was root at that time :-S it wasn't pretty...

for desktop use and mostly for computer non enthusiasts i'd say stick to Windows and try to bear with it... at least until some Linux distro comes out that is easy going enough

I´ll bet 100€.. You can´t name / give me an OS that doesn´t chash (in my use..)!!! All of them all total SHIT!!! Just wait when I get into programing.. :tickled: :yuk:

well... sometimes it's not the os, it's faulty 3rd party programs
when you have an open source environment as Linux where every single piece was done by a different person or group, you can imagine that there HAS to be a glitch or two...

but Microsoft is just plain stupid, they're supposed to be one company with one policy and one way of doing things, and they still can't release wholesome software to save their grandmas from burning in hot slag...
