Son of The Bitch
Band wise, Asphyx was fucking awesome on Friday. Mayhem sucked except for Attila.
Atheist and Brutal Truth were equally awesome but had equal issues with sound. Napalm Death stole the show from everyone save Bolt Thrower, Immolation were great as usual but I left early for just a bit. I was up close with my buddy Digger and the singer from Crucifist during Bolt Thrower, next to the fence. Constantly struggling to gain independent movement, I got fucking floored by the heaviness and choice cuts in their set. They played fucking World Eater way early though.
Abscess was fucking sick. I don't know if the two guys I pushed over to get up front post here, but hey, cool raging with you guys and sorry if I caused any trouble. gotta be front row banger, with the first death metal drummer on stage. Absu and Aura Noir were both wholly impressive, and Destroyer 666 would've been the greatest band at the fest if they had 45 more minutes to play and no sound issues. Bolt Thrower again was sweet, but I listened on the sidelines rather than getting smashed again. Sigh fucking killed it, I saw them in Cleveland last year and they played better, but I still loved it this time.
EDIT: Bands I regret missing but will probably see on tour: Phobia, PLF, Rotten Sound, Unearthly Trance, Despise You, Endless Blockade, Sayyadina and Victims.
