...the Homework thread..heh

This is the first weekend I'm not getting any homework. Not that I'm rubbing it in or anything...

Well sorry to hear that. I had to write like 6 tests this week alone so I'm quite relieved it's all over.

What are ya going to study after school?? Psychology?? ....Poor gothErica...they are indeed strange questions....

But, don't think that you are the only onw with lots to study....I am at my final year at uni and now it's exam period......ARGH!!!

I'll gladly help you out tomorrow, but right now it's 1 AM and I'm far too tired to think. :p

I'm sure I'll also have a rant about my current coursework too. :)

yea, this is for the students....

People, I have a very gay english homework, in which I have to develop stuff in 35-45 words.. and heh... I dont have brain enough to think of what to write, especially cause the questions are.... :Smug: there's no fucking sense in asking these kinda shit goddamnit!!!!!!!!!

like..

"what do you think about people who give up too easily? Have you ever done that? Give an example of an occasion when it would be bad to give up or an occasion when you should give up."

In my opinion, they ought to be recognised for their capacity recognise when it would be more efficient to just give up rather than try continously and produce no results, in so doing their energy and efforts could be better directed at more productive ends.
It would definitely be a bad idea to give up when one is reaching the end of a project but gives up because its far to tiring to continue on.
You ought to give up when you know the resources at hand are insufficent to achieve the objective.

"write about one thing that happened to the human race in the 20th century that you would consider progress"

I would write about this ... but I don't think that the development of magentic pickups would be what your teacher considers as progress.

I'm in the midst of exams as well ... too drained and tired to think any more.
....

anyone could give me a single idea? :D

damn school to hell... [/QUOTE]

Homework.. indeed, I have plenty. I'm studying for my Network+ and A+ certifications and it's fuckin' hard to memorize two 1000+ page books from front cover to back cover. I need these too much to give up though, so I'm screwed until I pass the test.

Embedded system design assignment (Some 'basic' mathematical functions to be programmed in assembly language for the Motorrola6809 *Sigh*. This assigment was originally due in on the fifth week of semester, and this coming Monday (when it's due in now) will be the 7th week)

Oh, and did I mention that I only really started to understand this subject yesterday?

hmmm. I've to read Milton's Lycidas for Tuesday, Kantian ethics (Universal and Humanity laws) for Thursday, 2000 words on Le Corbusier's intensions/reasoning behind new design approaches after WW2 for Wednesday, 1000 words on utilitarian considerations of value for the next thursday, and 2000 words on the relationships between literal and metaphysical approaches to writing religious poetry in the renaissance period for the same thursday again.

life is fucking peachy

The worst thing about homework is when you get group assignments and end up doing all the work yourself. I have this french project (just realised) that I'm gonna end up doing this weekend all by myself.

Yeah!
They should forbid all the group assignments
It's good for nothing!
We'll learn to cooperate sooner or later anyway
You always end up with people not doing anything
And YOU will get a bad grade..!
Group assignments make me SICK. :puke:

(-> even when you do all the work, cos the "teamwork" wasn't good enough or something..)(Well, SORRY!)

i hate Kant
And group assingments, too, for the reasons discussed above. whats worse is when people in your team say they'll send in their parts at a certain hour, and they dont, and you have to wait to see if they do so you can finish it up with your part.

And yet group assignments are supposed to teach you the value of teamwork...right...more like the value of manipulation and taking advantage.

French is really pissing me off this year for that particular reason.
