The Chasm - Procreation of the Inner Temple
Arnold Schönberg - Piano Music (Maurizio Pollini) on the way to school. This cd is becoming quite the thing of heart for me. My favorite Schönberg pieces are from the early period, Pelleas and Melisande or Transfigured Night, the colorful everchanging moods created by string instruments. But piano can't do that thing on its own and also, these pieces are later stuff. It's intriguing to hear his music stripped like this. On the bus.
Tchaikovsky complete Nutcracker arranged for piano and played by Steward Goodyear. This is cute stuff. A recent album.
Franz Schubert - Symphonies 3, 4 (Abbado)
Carcass - Symphonies of Sickness, you made me do that
Franz Schubert - Symphonies 1, 2 (Abbado)
Ben Monder - Amorphae, guitar jazz but almost ambient
Olivier Messiaen - Turangalîla-Symphonie (Esa-Pekka Salonen)
