I need to listen to more Ahab. The high screechy vocals on some of those Macabre songs surprisingly work like in the song White Hen Decapitator. Can anyone suggest other death metal bands with similar vocals?

Thrashin it up! Warbringer has really knocked it out of the park on their last two albums. It's unusual to see a band improve that much on their fifth and sixth albums. Looking forward to the new Destruction album. Hopefully changing the lineup and adding a second guitar reinvigorates their enthusiasm and song writing.

I picked up the MDD re-issues that just came out this month of the first two Desultory albums. I like them both but I'm not a fan of the change in vocal style on the second album.

I haven't heard Bitterness in full, should get on to that. Into Eternity was an early Swedeath album for me though, still holds up too. Anyone heard the comeback albums?

Relistening to old CC and Decapitated albums. Vile sounds better than I remember, I want to like Gallery of Suicides more than it deserves. It was one of the first CC albums I bought but there is something about the vocals on that one that seems off.

Giving the new Schizophrenia album a lot of listens but it doesn't hit with the same intensity of their EP from a couple of years back.

I like it, maybe not as much as Winds of Creation. On some songs they started playing that discordant rhythm which reminds me of Meshuggah.

Agreed. I think they are one of those bands that got slightly less good with each release (I don't know what they've done since Organic Hallucinosis though).
