My main issue was always how fucking buried the guitars are. I haven't played it in well over a decade though, might be time to revisit.

Yeah I think this is my issue too. The vocals just screech over the top of everything else, and I'm already not the hugest fan of Proscriptor's style. Weird mix.

Running Wild - Gates to Purgatory (really dig this, never really got into them as well pirate metal things is not right up my alley but Gates kicks ass, oldschool, blasphemic, riffs for days)

Killer album. Still easily my favourite from Running Wild even though I'm a big fan of all the 80s material.
