I hear hard encounters of bricks and cojones help for King Diamond impersonations. Never tried it though and not eager to. I'm not exactly a King Diamond fan either, to put it mildly. (Yes yes, bring on the bafflement and dismay.)

Yeah, good advice Dave. I always sing along with albums whenever I'm home alone. I used to be a terrible singer, I'll admit it, I turned it up loud enough so I couldn't hear myself, haha. Now I'm actually not half bad, and have a lot more confidence, just through practice.

Oh yeah, practice is definately the plan. I've found recording myself and playing it back is pretty helpful too... I've only just started singing, I'll get there in the end
