Haven't used these things yet, I doubt I will. I'm sure they're fun, but it sounds like they're geared towards TOTAL noobz with no real interest in learning the audio engineering trade. I mean seriously, read this description from Waves:
The Tony Maserati Collection is a unique, new kind of plug-in bundle; think of it as a shortcut to Tony’s sound. What makes this collection revolutionary is that you don’t need to deal with traditional processor parameters such as ‘attack and release time’ or ‘threshold’ to get a great sound. You don’t even need to know what these terms mean to achieve great sounding results. You’ll also be spared from relying on multiple plug-ins per track. For aspiring and professional mixing engineers alike, this collection represents the fastest way to get a great sounding mix—with Waves quality plug-ins, together with Tony Maserati’s aesthetic.
I never realized that relying on multiple plug-ins per track was something that I needed to be spared from!
