Splooged this together in about an hour, first couple of days of playing with TMF. Dirk Verbueren MIDI file and some sloppy generic riffage I came up with on the spot.

I think this thing has a lot of potential. This is rough still but I like the direction it's going so far. I blended in a Slate snare since I haven't dialed the TMF ones to my liking yet, they all seem very ringy...

The cymbals / toms and room sounds are awesome to me though, and even some of the kicks are pretty damn decent. Overall, thumbs up Toontrack! :goggly:

Sounds great as always! I really love the character of your guitar sound also, especially the attack. I may need to splurge on some Bare Knuckles soon.

You mean Axefx? ;))

j/k

Bare knuckles are great pickups no question about it. When I talked to the "Black machine" guy at the Frankfurt Messe (forgot his name, embarrassing), he said that he used three custom pickup manufacturers. Bare knuckles, Lundgren and Haeussel pickups. All really good, but a little bit different from each other. I can vouch for Bare Knuckles and Lundgren. Haven't tested a Haeussel yet.

Edit: enditol, your sloppy playing is equal to many players best effort. Nice work. How's Dirk on the drums btw? ;)

AWESOME :OMG:

... and my self estime goes back to the floor again ... :notworthy

sweet shit

woah this sounds really sick man. good job!

Sounds killer. Axe-FX GAS on the rise.

That kick sounds great!

Fuk! That sounds amazing!

:kickass:

That kick is awesome. Snare sounds too thin for my taste, but overheads are amazing! :D

Cool, yeah its more of a natural sounding snare on this one.

BKPs rule but raping the strings with a club of a pick is the key :heh:

This sounds great man. I really want this drum pack now! :D

Its getting mastered right now!

Having him and Gene do the MIDIs was a fucking awesome idea, sooo cool. They need to get Tomas to do some more and maybe Virgil Donati ! :heh:

^^ His name is Doug Campbell.

Great clip Enditol!

:kickass:

This sounds good, man. I'm not sure if I'll spend the money on Superior Drummer and Metal Foundry or wait until the Slate EX drums comes out. So far, which would you say you prefer?

Hard to say if I prefer one over the other since my best results have been combing bits of each. Im used to working with S2 and the room and cymbal sounds so I prefer them as of now and the Slate gives me tons of awesome kicks and snares to augment with. That probably doesn't help you much!

Enditol, did you notice that most of sounds now are more sensitive to velocity change than in the original DFHS?
