The missing link between STRAPPING YOUNG LAD and IN FLAMES

I listened (6 times now ;) ...it's becoming addictive!) and love many things, but... while it's melodic at some moments and all the riffs are really heavy and cool, i find it a little bit generic too, because i feel it's too much heavy, too "over the top" All the time... I miss just a bit of calm and atmosphere in the middle of that great furry!
Those heavy parts will shine more in contrast of something not as "full" like this perfect wall of guitars. I would develop electronic and acoustic guitar parts. It's hard cause you need to avoid clichés, be modern but honest, well balanced.... But I can feel they know a lot about songwriting... that would be no problem!
The singer have a great voice, all screaming and gritty rock vocals are really great, clean singing is ok, it miss a little something sometimes, maybe a bit of emotions, on cleaner parts it's too much clean and perfect, not enough feeling; but it's rare. A great singer!

All in all it's a really powerfull sounding EP, well arranged, and you can feel that they really have maturity and knowledge and "good taste" about music.
So imho, with some really little tweaking, a bit more atmosphere and cool down moment, a bit more emotions in the voice, that the would be incredible.
But that's just my own feelings. Others can feel it differently.
It's been only critics, to help them to improve, so I will tell you that on the other side, for me it's a world class band, I just critisize them like I would criticize In Flames!
Good luck too them, they can make it.
