The new Disturbed

Ecstatic Youth

...playing with fire
I DL'ed the video for Prayer from Dead6's FTP an dI don't understand all the fuss being made about the video and why it can't be on MTV or something among those lines.

Also, the song itself sounds extremely pop-ish to me. Not like the old Disturbed. Mind you I didn't lik ethe old Disturbed, nor do I lik ethis one, but this one seems extremely toned down, very radio friendly, almost poppy.

I predict this one will be on the radio alot.

It already is...but the first time I heard it,I thought it was a pretty good song. That was when I was listening to some non-Maryland radio station on the drive back from N.C.But now I don't even bother listening to the song when it's on the radio. It sounds like something that would be played on the pro wrestling programs that my siblings watch.

Eh,maybe my reasons for hating(or not liking)Md are kind of stupid-no good radio stations,no tours stop here,no local talent,it's just not a very interesting place...and our major industry is sea food...I don't believe that's something to be proud of,though.

Tool came here, which was great.Lots of "rock" radio stations advertise shows that come NEAR maryland. There are plenty of shows that hit VA,PA and DC...but,obviously,I can't go to any of them.Tool came to DC about a year ago...I would've loved to go to that show. But I wouldn't bet on Tool coming to MD the next time they do a tour.

Dreaming Neon Darkspot... I'm from Northern Virginia, although now I'm at the University of Alabama, and every metal band that was on tour stopped in our area. Tool is supposed to be in Maryland in a few weeks, last I heard, and I caught Nevermore three times in 2001. As far as the local scene goes, you're right, the last good local band was Premonition of the End, and god knows what happened to them.
