The new Down album

I wasn't a huge fan of NOLA but loved "a bustle in your hedgerow". I have to agree I feel Down are the only worthwhile thing Phil has done since leaving PanterA.

Oh wow, I couldn't disagree more. I think NOLA is one of the best metal records of the last 15 years, but I think I listened to Down II like twice and tossed it. I thought that was an AWFUL followup.

NOLA is definetely one of the best Metal albums ever recorded. Down II isn't bad but nothing close to the brilliance of NOLA. I LOVE Superjoint Ritual as well, both SJR albums and the live a CBGB's is amazing. Everything Phil has done I love

Wasn't there a song called "New Orleans is a dying whore" on the last album? I'm looking at the news right now and I'm thinking that song may have been a little clairvoyant...

I sure hope those people in the Superdome and shelters are safe----that is a SERIOUS storm heading there way...

I caught Down live twice and they are possibly one of the greatest "collaboration" bands ever. Their styles all mixed nicely, they haven't recorded one bad song. I, for one, can't wait for their next album!!!!!!!!

Now Superjoint, eh.....
