The Next Chapter: Bodom After Midnight

I started listening to it just now. I started at episode five, for obvious reasons.

In this episode the band, Petri Silas and one of their former managers speak.

Everything that has been told in this episode has already been told so far, but the former manager strongly suspects 'outside foreign influences' to have contributed to their break up.

The band mates say that since 2016, Alexi became everything he always said he didn't want to be. His personality and view on life did a complete 180. When he was diagnosed with the diabetes he made the band believe it was type 1, so hereditary, just bad luck (type 1 is genetic, type 2 from obesity/overeating). However, there are more, lesser known types of diabetes. He had a type solely caused by damage to the pancreas from alcohol consumption (the pancreas is what makes insulin).

He seemed to have money troubles at the end, or at least he needed more money. Jaska said he had 'money troubles for some strange reason' which is weird since Alexi was worth millions (personal and public knowledge in Finland too). He had suspicious, or delusions, that the bandmates held money from him. They bought him out with a lump sum in 2019. Jaska: "... somehow he had financial expenses in Australia and other expenses in his life. " "He was never good at handling money. He flew first class to Australia. that rings true for me. he was very very very generous (looking at you Gucci bag). but it was never a problem, he made a shit ton of money bc he was also signed with ESP, EMP , the guitar strings and some other things/endorsements I can't think about now.

Well said

" Honoring Alexi’s legacy with a tribute guitar exhibition in Shanghai. Much appreciation to @seta5wang & @forever.cob for making it all come together 🖤

-Anna Laiho

Posted @withregram@seta5wang The setup for the Alexi guitar exhibition was finally completed tonight, and it will officially open to the public tomorrow. This exhibition brings together most of the guitar collections of Alexi and the COB members. We spent a lot of money and effort to organize this exhibition, and of course, there is no profit involved since it is completely free—it’s simply to express our love and remembrance for Alexi. Many friends couldn’t make it to the event, so I filmed a video. "
