The Official fuck you all for ignoring my attempt to discuss Susperia Thread

Suspiria is one of the greatest horror movies of all time. Certainly Dario Argento's best.

I had a Susperia album once. Heard it a couple of times. Sold it.

I bought "Vindicate"(?) a couple years ago when it was just released, took it home and listened to it, then took it right back to the store.

"Vindication" I think. I had "Predominance" and beyond the pictures like this (see below), I really couldn't get into it. Definitely qualified as "Blargu Metal" - lots of thrashing guitars, lots of similar riff structure, lots of screaming, there was a definite recipe used per song and it got stale quick.

Now that's more like it. Like I said in the previous thread, I had both of the mentioned cds and like you guys, sold them after awhile.

But, this new album is surprising. Any fan of Testament, Machine Head, Voivod and the like should check the new album out. The first track, "Chemistry" has an awesome riff that starts the whole album off, so melodic and just gets stuck in your head...

And yeah, their pics tend to be lame, thankfully that's not the case with the new album.

Wow, that sounds cool. Maybe they learned from the past and decided to come up with something innovative for a change. To be honest Papa, I never even listened to the promo (thinking more of the same as before), but I'm glad you're digging it you diggitty dawg.

When's the review due?

Whatchu think of Thor? :D

Don't give too much away, I'm dying to read a review for it. Man, you gotta have fun with that one.
Oh, I'm rueing the day I ever requested that one...

I humored the idea of simply writing: Pure shit.

Seriously, waste your own oxygen on this "band."

I've gotta go clean the kitchen, make blt dinner, Michelle's tired and she is pregnant after all. Will return shortly.

Come on, track #2 is a catchy little number. :tickled: Seriously, what does track #2 remind you of? It's the first song on the album done by the other guy, not Thor. It does my head in when I hear a song that reminds me of something but I can't think of what. It's obviously something very 70's 'ish, almost Mike Oldfield-esque.

Anyway, I thought you'd like all the Manowar undertones and Conan imagery. :D

I saw them live this Easter. The frontman flirted a lot with the audience, and was very charismatic. I've never seen a crowd of 2000 people jump up and down to extreme (sort-of, at least) metal before that Susperia gig, so it was an interesting experience. Props for the fireworks and bombs on stage too.

As for their music; I'm not a big fan. At all. They've got a couple of good songs, however, their best being "Completion".
