"Vindication" I think. I had "Predominance" and beyond the pictures like this (see below), I really couldn't get into it. Definitely qualified as "Blargu Metal" - lots of thrashing guitars, lots of similar riff structure, lots of screaming, there was a definite recipe used per song and it got stale quick.Caelum Adustum said:I bought "Vindicate"(?) a couple years ago when it was just released, took it home and listened to it, then took it right back to the store.
Wow, that sounds cool. Maybe they learned from the past and decided to come up with something innovative for a change. To be honest Papa, I never even listened to the promo (thinking more of the same as before), but I'm glad you're digging it you diggitty dawg.Papa Josh said:
But, this new album is surprising. Any fan of Testament, Machine Head, Voivod and the like should check the new album out. The first track, "Chemistry" has an awesome riff that starts the whole album off, so melodic and just gets stuck in your head...
Oh, I'm rueing the day I ever requested that one...JayKeeley said:Whatchu think of Thor?
Don't give too much away, I'm dying to read a review for it. Man, you gotta have fun with that one.
Come on, track #2 is a catchy little number. Seriously, what does track #2 remind you of? It's the first song on the album done by the other guy, not Thor. It does my head in when I hear a song that reminds me of something but I can't think of what. It's obviously something very 70's 'ish, almost Mike Oldfield-esque.Papa Josh said:Oh, I'm rueing the day I ever requested that one...
I humored the idea of simply writing: Pure shit.
