The Official MSR Currently Playing Thread

Man, Evil C, your list is almost exactly what I've been listening to lately. I just bought that Zyklon CD this weekend, been playing the shit out of the Shadows Fall CD. And Nosehairs, I have to agree on the Dragonforce CD, been playing it all day today.

Scar Symmetry just fuckin rock. That is all there is to it. I love both of their cds...

Dragonforce. Ive heard some of it. Its not too guitar noodly? That is my only turn off to it. But if I can find it cheap...

Im picking up the Therion 2 dvd/ 2 cd set this weekend. Cant wait to delve into that.

It's not too noodly for me, but if you don't like that then this might not be the cd for you. There is an awful lot of that and keyboard noodling as well. Long, long passages in each song where the guitars and keyboards trade off solos. Most of the songs on the disc hit close to the 7 minute mark.

Skid Row - Subhuman Race
One of the most overlooked, underrated hard rock/metal cds of 1995.

Fine right underrated, Man i thought everyone was ignorant to this. I felt i was the only one enjoying this release.

Opeth - Still Life
HELLOWEEN - KEEPER OF THE 7 KEYS THE LEGACY
- THE DARK RIDE

ahhhh the dark ride is still stuck in my player.. these is one of the better releases of the deris area helloween... so different and dark sounding, i could sing along to almost all the songs in here. Could be a future classic..

One of their best releases period, yet Weikath throws a hissy and says he hates this album, that it was too dark for Helloween..... :zombie:

Weikath said that? Who were the main songwriters for this album anyway? I think all of them got involve.. i haven't read the story behind dark ride. Did he blame on grapow or uli for this dark concept thats why they left? (Damn, i was pretty disappointed when ULi Kusch left, Man his one of my favorite drummers). Well it figures, Rabbit don't come easy was back into happy helloween.. maybe weikath is way too happy to be dark.. or doesn't quite picture helloween to be dark sounding. Anyway Helloween may it be happy or dark is still very much Helloween. Leaders of power metal and still is..:notworthy

Yeah, he blamed all of it on Kusch and Grapow. Said that he did not like how they took the direction of the band into darker areas. He didn't write near as much on that cd as he did the previous and the latter ones.

Ok by me, I loved the Dark Ride, more than most, and I liked the first Masterplan cd alot.
