Whisper Supremacy is better than "And then youll beg" but its still not top notch. Theres basically one thing that makes the first two albums better than the last two. Lord fucking Worm. Whisper did have some nice bass lines in it though, especially Clod Hate, Warm Blood. I remember when I first started playing bass it was right after I had just bought none so vile, and I tought myself the entire album in a month or so. I even did a cover of Phobophile with an old band I Used to be in. In conclusion

ATYB and WS are far more technical then NSV and BMF while NSV and BMF are alot more groovy and catchy
so what you like better comes down to technicality or groovyness even though some parts of ATYB get pretty groovy

By ear, Im sure theres tabs around but I got it all by ear, or pretty close. Best bass line ever- Opening to Phobophile. I even had my brother (Who plays piano) learn the opening part so we could play the entire song in concert. I cant listen to that song when Im driving because when all the other instruments kick in I have the urge to just run some one down and/or destroy cars close to me.

BORING and they didn't fit the music at all, despite what the average metalhead will tell you.
DiSalvo had POWER and INTENSITY that fit the chaotic music's demand, and he had 10 times the charisma of LW as well. LW is gonna dilute the power of the DiSalvo material.
plus the music on WS and ATYB blows the shit out of the somewhat boring and conventional tech-brootal-death of those 2. WS was pure madness that those 2 albums wish they could approach, and ATYB is frustratingly deep and complex, and shows Cryptopsy at their least conventional, progressing into something far beyond typical br00tal-death-metal.

Yes, no one can duplicate Lord Worms power and intensity. They shouldnt have even attempted Open Face Surgery on None so Live. Desalvo was boring and repetetive. An average as hell Death metal vocalist who brought nothing to the band. ATYB wasnt deep or complex by any means, it was simply a failed attempt to take the band in a newer and more technical direction, and about 90% I know agreed that it sucked. Disalvo was shit, he had no power, and I hope Lord Worm dosent sing any of his songs because none of them are noteworthy. NSV and BMF were not typical brutal death albums, they were powerfull, skull crushing and mind fucking albums, that still maintained elements of groove and melody. Just because a band decides to emphasize its technical prowess more does not make it better music. In conclusion: Lord Work>Every other Death Metal Vocalist. Thats right, I said it.
