Such a promising band. What happened?
Live, when everyone was sober and not drinking or drugging it up onstage, they simply could not be beat. Start in with the overabuse of the booze or the drugs and you ended up with a band that would get blown off the stage by Barry Manilow, if he was opening for them. I've seen them do some gigs that really stand out in my memory (San Bernadino, November, 1996 and Hollywood Palladium, June 1992) and some shows that just sucked the balls of a dead man (Ozzfest, Devore, 2001)!

Sadly, their records failed to deliver on the promised progression of songwriting that was present in Vulgar. They spent so long trying to prove how heavy they could be, they completely forgot what it was that got them into their position in the first place...the songwriting!

Apparently Darrell agrees with you, Smylex. In a recent interview, he stated that the band deviated from melody and hooks and instead tried to be as heavy and obnoxious as they could be. He promises that the new Damageplan material will prove he and Vinnie can still write. We'll see...
