Slavland are pretty cool. They play folkish melodic black metal. So, like folk metal bands, they use unusual instrumentation and/or keyboards that emulate the sounds of folk instruments. The production is good and the riffs are tight.

I recieved the first Dark Tribe album today, it's good, and would probably be far better if In Jeraspunta was never released. The latter destroys it completely, but it surpasses loads of newer black metal releases being heralded as saviours of BM.

I have "Gods of the Pit" by Belial and it's decent primitive stuff I recall. Altar are quite good on the split with Cartilage - it's typical Swedish DM, though a little more seductive than most and produced like a fucking razor. Cartilage obliterate them, mind you.

I've already heard that split and it does indeed rule but the Altar i was asking about the one from the Netherlands. ;)

Lemming Project is old-school death metal that somewhat is in the vain of early Therion fused with the heaviness of Bolt Thrower. I've heard only Hate and Despise and need to get Extinction

Molested were the first band of Borknager's Øystein Garnes Bruun. Their style was uncompromising brutal death metal with an odd sense of melody.

Yeah they totally rule. Definitely up there with my favorite old-school death albums with Miasma - Changes, Suffocation - Effigy Of The Forgotten, etc.
