Sitting down to do my review of drummer Jerry Gaskill's solo album, Come Somewhere and I thought I would start a thread to one of my favorite bands EVER and one of music's most important artists, King's X. Discuss the band, individual member's projects, etc.

These guys are responsible for creating a sound that many loved, many hated. Wanna know where bands like Alice In Chains stole the original blueprint? Wanna know why everyone from Vernon Reid of Living Colour to Richie Blackmore and god, the list could go on, loves KING'S X??

I've heard one song off the Dogman album many years ago and that dude had one of the most wicked bass tones I've ever heard that I'll never forget.

That's all I can say.

Man, Papa's good at these official threads...

Man, "Gretchen..." was one of my absolute favorite albums in high school along with "Operation: Mindcrime" and "Edge of Thorns"... And it's a goddamn crime that I haven't listened to it in a long time. I'm floored once again, great great great album 9/10. "Pleiades" is probably their best song.

I bought my first kings x album a couple of weeks back: 'black like sunday'

I didn't really get into it, but there were some cool parts
