According to The Pulse Of Radio, THE PRETTY RECKLESS singer Taylor Momsen has told Music Radar that she has no plans to act again, saying that her previous career as an actress was just "something that paid bills." Momsen appeared in various movies, commercials and TV shows since she was a child, and was best known for her role on the TV show "Gossip Girl". But she has not pursued any new acting gigs since recording two albums with the band, including the recent "Going To Hell".Momsen said, "I quit acting almost five years ago and you could say that was always my intention. It was always a day job — something that paid bills. I never considered myself an actor — I was a musician who just happened to be on a TV show. I haven't acted since the band's been together. We've made two records, toured a lot and established ourselves. I think the TV stereotype has gone away."Momsen told The Pulse Of Radio not long ago that her family always knew this was what she really wanted to do. "They knew that music was always where I was headed, and what my — that was my passion and my goal," she said. "I mean, acting was a day job, essentially, while I worked on writing a record's worth of material that I wanted people to hear, and finding the right people to work with and the right band and all that. So they weren't surprised when I jumped ship."THE PRETTY RECKLESS released their debut album, "Light Me Up", in 2010 and followed it up this year with "Going To Hell", which came out last March. Now that acting is behind her, Momsen said she hopes the band's next record takes less time to make, explaining, "I'm definitely hoping the next record can come faster. But at the same time, I don't want to rush something out just for the sake of it. I want the next record to be perfect."The new disc has yielded two No. 1 rock radio hits with "Heaven Knows" and current single "Messed Up World", making THE PRETTY RECKLESS the first female-fronted act to have its first two singles both hit the top spot.
