The Ramones rule

my sharona was definitely a song by the knack. doesnt even sound like the ramones. completely different music. but anyways ramones are ok. Only reason i dont really like them is because everyone likes them. I like the clash more. and the dead kennedys

metal people: start by the source...

listen to the original "Somebody Put Something In My Drink" :kickass:

I have...

Correct me if I'm wrong here....but didn't metal come from Rock n' Roll in the 50s and 60s, this birthing Blacks Sabbath, Led Zepplin, Motorhead, ect...and didn't Punk come from these same roots?

To my understanding, punk isnt the root of metal. Thrash Metal is influenced by punk yes, but in general I'd have to disagree.

Motörhead has a song called R.A.M.O.N.E.S :p

HUmbug, Different stuff is influcneced by blah..Early metal and Early Punk both started at the same time so its what I assumed.

I dont really refer to the ramones or the clash or any of the bands that i guess they say started punk as punk. they sure as hell didnt want to be called punk. They were just rock n roll.

A blow dear.:p

@bodom-bro-If you're not from America, let me say you surely fit in with most the people here. Listen to the Ramones before you say what songs they play.

TSOL, and The Adolescents are probably my two favorite punk bands.
