Surely you don't think that those soldiers were implementing that torture without orders. That was a policy problem and it was a good soldier who took pictures and sent them to the media to break the story.

The problems with hitting innocent civilians is also a policy problem. Snipers should be on every roof top and UN armored vehicles should be patroling the streets.

US policies are to blame for this mess, not the military.

Kind of funny: the numbers this past week from the recent polls have Bush and Kerry once again tied in their positions of who would win if the election were to be held today. So much for that 12 point lead that Bush had after the RNC.

Considering that Bush is an incumbent and a wartime president, his numbers should be much greater. Perhaps we're seeing history repeat itself...the last time I saw this was when George Bush (Sr.) was president.
