I am the old school Testament's fan. Last tour I saw them was with Glen Alvelais on guitar during The Ritual Tour. I hope to get a copy of any Testament's bootleg of that tour with Glen. I like to buy it from the Testamentlegions.com site, but it's not available, can anyone help please!!!

They haven't released ANY bootlegs off that tour yet. That's a pity, because I'm also waiting for them to come out of hiding. I'd gladly see some shows of the line up with Glen and Paul as well as some Ritual gigs by the original line up.
Perhaps it's because they (or at least Chuck) are a little ashamed of this record (totally baselessly IMO) and think fans would not like it or simply they don't have any good quality bootlegs from that tour (which I doubt, to be honest)

The Ritual is much better than Souls of Black...

I gotta disagree with that. The only thing the Ritual has over Souls to me is the production. Souls was rushed and if they band had more time, I think the end result would have been even better.

Hey if you check out my interview I did with Eric at LivingForMetal.com , I talked about "The Ritual" album...He was actually quite pleased with it..and the whole recording experience of it...

here's a part of the interview:

SS: Another great album I always liked was The Ritual. That seems to have gotten mixed responses but I always liked it a lot. How was the recording process for that and how do you feel it turned out? And what was your favorite song on that album?

EP: That’s a great record. I just think production wise that’s a great sounding record, Of course the label spent a lot of money on it and we worked with Tony Platt who worked on Black In Black, some Gary Moore stuff. So he’s an English cat a couple of generations ahead of us and Nigel Green mixed it. Nigel was one of Mutt Lange’s protege’s . Nigel Green knows just how to tweak those frequencies to make it right.

And the experience recording it was amazing. That was recorded at One on One studio’s which is the same place Metallica recorded the Black album. So that was pretty cool, we were big fans of Metallica back then. That was a really nice studio, it just had one room and we got to live in LA for like a month so that was pretty cool. Those are good memories, that was a good record but the only thing about that record that I didn’t like is that I wish the drums were a little more busier.

I always liked The Ritual too..especially So Many Lies!

Maybe you're right, but maybe they made it onto the disc just so all original line up records are captured. I agree, Electric Crown is a hit and therefore a strong part of the set (as So Many Lies used to be some years ago), but all other songs are completely forgotten (Let go of My World was played once as a surprise and they've stopped including it in the setlists), which is a shame, as they're all great pieces of music
EDIT @stevesaks, I've read your great interview with Eric some time ago. I've always known he thinked The Ritual has its place in their discography, but I've always had the feeling that when thin years for metal came and Testament decided to go underground and heay instead of following the trends they felt like playing the mor melodic stuff would be considered un-true or selling out. I don't know. There has to be some explanation for the complete lack of The Ritual songs in their setlists for over a decade and the presence of only one of them in the last few years. Hopefully this will change

"I wish the drums were a little more busier."of course, that's the single problem with all pre-Low albums,Louie is an "unbusy" drummer.good thing he is not part of the reunion.

Well.. it's ofc. true that Louie playing style isn't as in-your-face as the other Testament drummers but I like his style alot. Hopefully he'll play with Testament again.
