the sorpranos series finale SUCKED

as a whole, it wasn't amazing. BUT, it had some great parts!

Phil's head for one.
The very last minute of the episode was a lame and forced attempt to do " what wasn't expected " and also left a loophole when Gandolfini's career is in the toilet.

i liked it. everyone complained at the first ending that everyone thought was the ending on episode 12. instead of changing the ending Chase pretty much gave us the exact same ending. and it's a good ending! it's closure. life just goes on but instead of a hazy indecisive future these characters are all stable now.

I do agree that it was showing you that life just continues to go on. How I wish they would have offed AJ, that is one annoying character.

They are just setting you up for the comeback several years from now.

THE SOPRANOS:the motion picture
Tony is called out of retirement to investigate a giant alien probe from another galaxy called V'GER.

someone I know theorized that those random people that the camera coming into the diner that the camera kept focusing on were hitmen, and that shortly after the episode ended, the whole family was gonna get whacked. I dunno if i buy that though.

Well, I think that is why everyone is pissed. They set you up like SOMETHING was gonna happen. They were either hitmen or feds and Tony would get his....but in true Sopranos fashion, NOTHING happened.

that's why i like video games; i determine who lives and dies

OBLIVION, WOOOO

Tony IS dead.

Tony basically knew the hit was coming, thats why he wanted to confirm that Paulie would be up to "doing something big", because after the hit, Paulie would be in charge of the family.

In the diner it switched to a first person view, from tony's perspective, as the family walked in one by one. Take note of Meadow successfully parallel parking. Previously she has failed. Twice to be exact. Both times coinciding with failed hits/death on/of Tony. Tony looks at the door for Meadow to come in, and then, right as she is walking in, it goes black. From the first person. He was shot in the back of the head, so his view became nothingness. He heard nothing. Death. Just blackness.

As for the cat. I dunno. I'm kinda thing Adriana, but not 100% sure. I'll have to watch it again, if I can get past its dullness.

Overall, really dull ending. A few good parts, but overall, not what I was expecting.

Also, note the really bad editing throughout this episode. And continuity errors. Some involving clothing and such.

It didn't look intentional. Especially during the Negotiation Scene. Very bad episode on the technical side.

Decent theory, and one I would support if official confirmation was given.
So far, everything I read says that they all live.

I would have added just a little bit more to the scene if it was playing out as you said. Click of the gun maybe, show someone standing behind him possible.

Anyway, it is over.

that's actually a really good theory. as far as i've always been concerned it's been a show about tony soprano and to end on the note of his death and the blackness and such is fitting.

some retard i know called his cable company when it ended because he was positive that his service had cut out. i told him, "no you fucking idiot, that is the ending". he could not deal with it.

the part when Phil gets his head destroyed was awesome. if you pause it when that guy is saying "OH SHIT!", you can notice that he has deformed fingers and shit. my friend and i laughed so hard at that guy... we replayed it literally like 15 times.
