I agree with what you wrote. However, I'm not sure I understand the point you were making with Meadow's two failed attempts at parking.

One more clue, that supports your this theory, is that the guy at the bar, who goes to the bathroom (and who most would say did the shooting) was wearing a Member's Only jacket, which was suppose to signify him being mafia.

The other point I heard made, that I thought was fair, was about the series itself. Most critics considered it groundbreaking and original. That being the case, why wrap it up with a neat little bow, like every series that came before it? The fact of the matter is, we're all still talking about it.
