The sound of Aurora Borealis....

I saw the northern light last thursday - between 1.30 and 2:00 in the morning. I was so amazed that I could see it in Austria - from my bedroom window! In the first moment, i thought that my neighbors´ roof was burning because it was all red, with yellow lines in it - so beautiful.

I saw it last weekend it was ok but kind of still. I love it however when they change colors and places frequently and "dance" in the sky

Speaking as a student of physics, it sounds reasonable that they cause sounds... and since at night (when there are lower noise levels around one than usually) sounds are carried farther than else, it is concerivable that they can be heard.

I heard the northen light two nights ago. And you should have been there, oh my ....the sky as far that it reached, from horizon to hirozon was totally aflame, sparkling flares encircled and roved across the night sky. That's pure igenious art of the nature!!

I would like to see northern lights some day, too... but so far I came onlyas far north as Drammen, Norway with my moving ;) Physics is neat, alas not exactly the same thing as seeing it :(

Oh, wow! The way you described it, it must have been a miracle! I´m sad that we don`t have this phenomenon here, but one day I´ll travel a bit to wittness this wonderful gift of nature.
