I just don't like the part where you have to be pressuring or slick to close up any doubts or anything about the sale, I guess I just figure if people REALLY WANT something, then that's really all up to them in the end, and my job should be more making the process as smooth and informative as possible rather than venturing into manipulating them to close the sale. If I was in the same position, and recognizing the counter guy was trying real hard to push me into something or pull one over on me, it *would* close the sale..as in shut down. But I won't say any of this in case I get my interview, ironically enough.

Yeah, I did sales for a summer and didn't like it, but I always figured if they wanted something they would just tell me and I could tell them how it worked or whatever

I tried to find a clip from Transformers where the air force dude is trying to place a call and the paki/indian dude is like
"Sir your tone is not helping speed this up one bit" or whatever. Didin't seem to be anywhere on youtube.

I have to deal with Xbox Live's support and it is the biggest pile of shit imaginable. Not only are the employees completely incompetent, you can't understand them and they don't understand you. Plus Microsoft actively tries to milk every penny they can from their customers.

I haven't had much contact with customer support but I've never had too bad an experience. I really don't like Bank of America's customer service though. In Arlington they just hire incompetent old Indian ladies who made setting up my account really hard.

RBC on the other hand has had very good customer service. My debit card was compromised a couple months ago and they made it very easy to get it fixed. I've also had to deposit a couple big checks from American to Canadian dollars and they have made that simple as well.

That's the bank I did customer service for, RBC Centura (American arm). Was over 4 years ago though.

The only customer support I've ever had to use fairly often is for my bank (Wells Fargo) and they've always been extremely helpful and polite. On the other hand, the cable company is a pain in the ass.
