The first of the non-traveling, non-commercial summer metal festivals has been confirmed. Presented by Terry Harper, on June 5, Headliners Music Hall in Lousville, KY will play home to the SUMMER SLAUGHTER FESTIVAL that will feature the following artists:

CEPHALIC CARNAGE
CATTLE DECAPITATION
BENEATH THE MASSACRE
ION DISSONANCE
THE FACELESS
ARSIS
AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK
+ 1 local band (TBA)

I'm not that into Necrophagist, really. And yes, it's quite amusing.

EDIT: Also, the local band will probably end up being Anagnorisis, who are actually more interesting than most of the bands above. http://www.anagnorisis.tk
