Well what can be said..... besides the colds, farting, burping and general band behaviour Power Quest have managed to go from being a band to Rock Stars (Gav signed breasts and as far as we know this makes you a rock star!!!)
Monday - The Under World
A good gig..... (Nick Cave was there!) from the moment the first cord was struck the band proved that they had the making of Rock Stardom. They looked like a band that had been jamming for years not weeks. The songs off the first CD has a few people singing along and the new songs that were performed carried a message to the audience that the new CD would surpass the first. All in all a really good first gig.
Tuesday - Bristol
Not a very big turn out but the people who were there were stomping to the beat and seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was a really small pub and the sound not so good, Power Quest however managed to over come this with Gav's drumming and the Italians hair flicking and singing.
Wednesday - Bradford
This day did not start off well as the band was ripped off. Some shit head broke into the car and stole the girly shirts!!! It is just not good. They got to the venue and it was a much better venue than the night before.
The Support band Fourway Kill was Fantastic and Powerquest followed with a gig that was tight and as the week progressed the band just got better. The more they relaxed into doing the set the better they got.
Thursday - Derby
After driving around for ages and finding all the dead end roads in Derby, the band finally got to their destination. This was
a good venue and a there were Power Quest fans who had travelled a long way to see this show.
I hope they were not disappointed, as I was not. I cannot really say more without gushing.
Friday - Bloodstock
Power Quest's dressing room was opposite Blaze and Saxon, this had to be a good start. In the dressing room after the sound check
The boys all sit around not looking to nervous. It was a quick wait 2 hour wait till they had to get on stage.
Once they were onstage and they had begun..... Power Quest blew the audience away. This set was tight and there was
an energy that emanated from them that glowed. They were amazing. fantastic, really good. The whole thing was over so
quickly. They could have done a much longer set and no one would have complained. This was a kick ass gig.
It was nice to meet other fans, and I would like to thank the band for putting up with us and giving me your colds
