the two greatest books of the last 100 years...

I just started reading this one. And I love Harry Potter *shrugs*

Great book.
Finished it last year

Whats it about?

 Most folks here already answered your question, but you will not regret it. He's kind of like a hero that is not so perfect. It's a real refreshing change. Also I've never seen a dude with worse luck then Elric!

I have the two big books that combines the whole Elric series:

There are some extra stuff added to the big books also. But, the old paper backs have the better art work on them. I have some of those from Al's old collection.

On a vaguley related note, I procured a copy of "Time of the Hawk Lords" which is written by Mr. Moorcock... about Hawkwind in a post-apocalyptic future. I entirely plan to listen to Hawkwind the whole time I read the book.

I barely made it through the crap that was the first Harry Potter book. Seriously, it took me a month because I'd get bored after about 2 pages and put it down. Usually I go through a book in two weeks.
So many better books out there.

original post failed miserably.

after i finished harry potter 7 i did momentarily consider reading some more fantasy books...but whats the point when you have already read the best there is? i'd rather be watchin csi:miami :)

A book I think many of you would see as a joke is "Who Was Adam" by Dr. Rana. It explores the Old Earth theory of creation in relation to hominids and how it stacks up to the popular and scientific views of human evolution. It's really in-depth, covering all the bases from fossil evidence to Junk DNA. A very interesting read, indeed.
