The Union Underground - ...An Education In Rebellion
Union - 2000
By John Knudsen
I had never heard of The Union Underground when I got their debut-cd ...An Education In Rebellion, so I had no idea of what I was going into. However after only half a minute into the opener 'Drivel', I knew this was a Powerman 5000/ Rob Zombie clone. The singer Bryan Scott sounds a lot like Rob Zombie and his brother Spider. He's good at his singing, and certainly his bandmates also knows how to handle their instruments...
I will recommend everyone who's into Powerman 5000/Rob Zombie to check this out, because even though this aint a masterpiece like Powerman's Tonight The Stars Revolt!, it is definately worth a try; hear the single "Turn Me On Mr Deadman" and you know excactly what I mean.
Not brillant, but good!
