After talking on the phone with Gary Holt, while Carlos Santana played before the Super Bowl game was played.
Gary thought they were boring and that most football fans, would rather see something alittle heavier(of course I agree). When I asked how the audition's were going, he said that for right now the band has made a decision to put all auditions on hold, and they are going to "spend some time with John Miller"(Wardance), and see what happens. They are not officially saying that John is the new singer, but want to work with him and see how it goes, before a final decision is made public. Gary wants to also see what kind of vocal patterns John can come up with on the new material, the band has already written. And then see how John sounds on a Demo. A good portion of their new album is finished or in final stages of arrangement. But the more songs the better to chose or pass on later. Gary says the new Exodus album will be "crushingly heavy", and then wants to tour full on, & do a huge many legged "World Tour". He also said that John had done only Wardance tunes the last time they worked together, and now its time to see John do Exodus, and Gary has alot of faith in him.
