The unofficial Saxon web site

Good idea, Valanx, my Good Man!

I haven't the techno knowledge to build a site, but I can write some articles and reviews etc. Also doing an on-line interview with band members past and present is a possibility.

If we get a team together to cover all areas, I can't see why it ain't possible!

I have a mirror on my HD. It's not up to date, only the Lionheart album is missing.
If Karl doesn't host his webpage on a new server, I can help.
But there's not enought time for me bring it back.

Mmmmm.... Resusitation is a possibility, eh, Ka Mei?

Well, I think it is a good idea to create a new site from scratch. If we had the people with the energy, that is!
As for the official info, Saxon747 - I hate to use crappy Buzz words and stuff, but networking and contacts are the key. Also, lots and lots of enquiries and nagging!

If we get a decent gang together, I think it is an idea worth considering...

I think so too, if enough of us contributed (in some way) i think we could make a
the kind of saxon fansite we all want to have :Spin:

Who knows? If just a 'Saxon' site felt too restricted, a site for old school metal/rock could be the answer to provide variety and create interest? After all, enough is going on at the moment - all the class acts are still recording and touring: Priest, Saxon, Motorhead, AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Maiden etc.
Even Ozzy is dragging in potential fans, without even doing much musically!
If something as articulate as this was created, who knows where it could lead? Admittedly, there are a fair few Metal sites out there, but they tend to focus on the more recent artists. I think ticket sales confirm that there is still and interest, and demand, for old-school rock/metal!
