the view from philadelphia

okay, see, i think phil does have a high percentage of food product that i've not seen elsewhere. at least, in upstate NY.

i had to try the kerr's ketchup potato chips.

The thing is, Philly's speciality stuff is all cool, but it's only pretty good. Herr's chips are good, but they don't beat, say, Cape Cod chips in terms of ass-kickingness. Cheesesteaks are good, but there's better regional food out there. Tastykakes, pretzels, and scrapple range from good to questionable, but never achieve total raddity.

UTZ have the perfect balance of salt, so that the chuip still tastes more like potato than anything else. Cape Cod chips are too crunchy and oily for my taste. They aren't crisp enough. and they're too salty, but not as bad as Lays (bleah).

cape cod chips are too greasy. my dad hates them. he's like 'i hate cape crap chips'. hah.

anyway, i had a friend from philly who used to say there were four basic foods groups:
(1) things with meat
(2) things with bread
(3) things with drugs
(4) things from wawa
