The Hot Streak will continue this fall for The Winery Dogs. Their second appropriately titled, self-produced studio album, Hot Streak, is set for release October 2nd on Loud & Proud Records via RED (a division of Sony Music Entertainment) and in the rest of the world via earMUSIC. It will be preceded by the first single, “Oblivion,” set for release August 25th at radio. A double vinyl edition of the new album is also in the works and is due out in early November.

On paper, this band is a bit outside my range of tastes, so I wasn't particularly excited about their first album. But then I happened to listen to it at some point, and I thought it was great. Then I saw them live and enjoyed that too. I'll definitely check out the new disc, and I plan to see them again on their upcoming tour.

This is without a doubt my favorite MP band outside of DT. Saw them live in Charlotte last year. They ruled!

THE WINERY DOGS REVEAL WORLD TOUR PLANS FOR 2016

The Winery Dogs drummer Mike Portnoy has checked in with an update on the band's tour plans in support of their new album, Hot Streak:

"Being everyone is asking, this is just the first US leg for The Winery Dogs. The plan (so far) for 2016 is:

• Feb - Europe
• March - South America/Mexico
• April - Japan
Then more North American/European Festival dates throughout Spring/Summer 2016!! Standby for more info soon..."
