Theocracy to Headline Southwest GA Metal Festival!

I wasn't sure at first if I was going to be able to make it to Albany for this festival. I had originally thought I was going elsewhere to watch a few other bands that same weekend. But I will most likely be in attendance at the SoWeGa Metal Fest after all.

if you are into the other bands or not, it's well worth picking up for new epic Theocracy!

Well, it's probably fairly certain that we'll be playing this one at the festival (since it is on the sampler and all). It's been well received live from past experiences!

As those have asked, it is on the CD set from the Sowega Festival. HeavenKnows provided the link in her post if you want a copy! Hopefully we'll see lots of you out there for the festival! It should be a great set!

Theocracy warm-up show on July 20th at the Insomnia Venue in historic downtown Villa Rica, GA.

This will be the band's first live performance in over 5 months, and also their first performance with new bassist Patrick Parris.

Update: I won't be able to make the trip. I'll be taking the Bar around that time and I have a prep class I have to take that weekend.

I will see Theocracy one of these days!!!

SoWeGa Metalfest Cancelled

First off, here's the story. Lane Rosen is the owner of the State Theater. I called him earlier this week to pay him more than half of what he asked to rent the ST for Metalfest (a whopping $2200 in total). That's when he informed me that he had gone ahead and rented the venue out to someone else for the evening.

I'm pretty pissed off about it but there's simply nothing I can do. I've spent all week searching for an alternate venue and it seems as if one doesn't exist here anymore. I will not do this sort of show outside because I will not chance the rain.

I thank you all for your time and enthusiasm. I will be booking another show soon, so all hope is not lost. The music scene in Albany IS coming back.

All money to sponsors, donars, and ticket purchasers will be soon refunded.

Keep a look out for next year!

In the meantime, visit Dead Relics to keep up with shows in Albany.
