that's pretty much what i'm gonna try to say. that, and that there's a lot of "in between"... and that this guy's notion that EVERY piece of classical music was composed completely in a vacuum without regards for the structures of what came before? BULLSHIT!

If there is a genre that is the mother of all that is FOLK. You all understand why.

Because traditional folk composers were only aware of music surrounding them on a very local scale, preventing standardization?
