Maybe there is a 12 step program. :erk: I think this is bass #12. I'm such a gear junkie. :erk: :dopey: :loco:
I could not pass this sucker up even though I would have preferred the crutch of lines. Should get it in a week or 2.

Wanda would be proud of me, I think, for going unlined. :D

I need Aja to call my wife and explain how gear all around the house is a good thing. :Spin:

This is my first fretless. I was holding out for lined but old L2KE's are hard as hell to find in the mahogany/ebony board combo so I caved.

Serious ear training will be needed. I am so gonna suck on this for a while, :yell: but I absolutely love the feel and sound of fretless.

It is supposed to. If not I am really, really gonna suck. :loco:

Worse comes to worse there are other G&L freaks that would easily grab this from me.

Wanda did tell me at NAMM a fretless is something she wants someday and would prefer unlined. I'd give her first pass at it if I can't hang with it.

Don't really need lines if you're like Eddie Van Halen; he actually played lots of wrong notes, but what he would do is to bend them really fast to make them sound right, so if your fast enough that will work, and that's how he got his sound.

nice acquisition jim! yeah i love the sound of those! recently, maybe it was the namm show or one of the mags, i seen a hybrid fret/fretless bass which i thought was a great concept.

There have been interesting takes Sara. I've seen ones with the half the board up to the 12th fret fretted but fretless to the heel, a retractable frets bass, and one with the entire board fretted under E/A but D/G fretless.

Weird stuff out there. I just agreed to sell my Stingray so that will cover most of the cost for this one. That will make my wife happier that one leaves and another comes in. :D

I really really wanted this one at NAMM....
