You can start with "A People's history of the United States" by Howard Zinn. It's a good beginning. As for the examples, I'll just say that in every military "intervention", there are always at least two sides and neither one is telling the truth - the truth lies in between the victor's and the loser's side... I'll just leave it at that.

Yes, I've heard Jello talk at great length, and...he does NOT speak the way he sings. If he did, I'd suspect he had some type of disease that gave him the shakes.
I have no idea who Steve Ignorant from Crass is, but his name is quite telling. You might want to warm up to the idea that there are a LOT of Johnny Rotten wanna-be's out there, though.

Ross, buddy , Our foriegn policy is what is best for OUR country, the USA comes first ,everyone else is second.... thats the way it has been from the begining, this is how you build a wealthy country, and the USA is the richest country in the world, everyone here in the US has the chance for a good life... If the rest of the world is so smart, how come there all broke,asking (thats right ) the US for foreign aid? You would think that if they were all so smart, they would be able to eliminate their debts and be able to fend for themselves.

There was this similar thing happening at the university in Umeå a couple of years back. A neo-nazi was held a lecture and of course a lot of people got mad (myself I think it´s an ok thing to do if they have a debate afterwords. If you study with a goal of a job with responsibilites you could need the social skills from listening to "weirdos" or people with opposite views to yours. The thing is, the one who got him the lecture was the students teacher, his girlfriend! Don´t remember what happened to her, if she got away with a warning or got kicked out.
