this dude is sick....

Mentioned him a few threads ago, he's great IMO.

I love his rendition of modern In Flames songs, I don't even like the originals but his covers make me realize there's still something behind Anders Friden's now-wimpy voice.

:kickass:

(drumkit from hell though amirite?)

Not just the average Epiphone, but the prophecy. Thinner neck, EMG81/85 all Mahogany. Not a bad guitar at all even though the brand scares people off. ;)

He uses extremely thick strings : something like 61s.

Must compensate for the shorter scale and low tuning, some IF songs are in B or B# IIRC.

me too! just goes to show ya dont need alot of fancy stuff to make great recordings :) hell im tempted to go buy the amp for the price, i've seen em used for $250 usd

whats the deal with randall

i heard it was used on an ocean between us?
this doesnt sound bad, either.

the deal is that their shit is pretty much cheap and underrated...dudes are finally crawling out of the hole that they fell in - you know, the one that was supposed to be the mids in dimebagg's tone

the randall im talking about is a cheap one and sounds amazing but im pretty sure the randall used on an ocean between us was the more expensive module system which i've seen produce amazing results.. off the top of my head two other bands that used it were disturbed's newer material as well as arsis' we are the nightmare if i remember correctly

Not sure if you checked out his other vids, but he's got a couple where there's two of him playing. LOL

Ah, remembered that I was watching this guys videos a few years back. He had even worse gear then, Epiphone special guitar, like one of the cheapest available and using gearbox for tones. I think I remembered reading that he actually had 3 of those epiphone special guitars for different tunings, backup guitar etc. Sounded pretty good, at least I thought so back then :)

.. you mean the amps that where designed for George Lynch(RG80-100)?
Those where designed to emulate Lynch's extremely middy-Marshalls.. There was a reason behind Dimebag having a Furman EQ in his rig. ;)
