I'm not a big country music fan, but I played in a country band about 10 years ago. Some of those guys absolutely tear it up. As far as guitar playing goes, there's a lot to learn from country players. I remember reading an old Ritchie Blackmore interview, and he was talking about people's reaction when he first came to the USA, basically saying "OMG! You're such a great guitarist!", and he was dumbfounded by it. "I'm great? Haven't you heard the guys in Nashville?"
