He got the idea from trying to recapture the sounds of his grandads old pump action player piano, this is what interested him in trying to make all these weird percussive things. Composing it was the easy part of the process , the hardest part for him and his engineer was trying to fit it all in one room, figuring out how the hell you record some of the stuff
. The guy that wired all the stuff up so that he could trigger all the pieces from the low E of his guitar was Eric singer (head of LEMUR, League of electronic musical urban robots) this shit sounds straaaange upon reading
Apparently he may do another 'robot' album. The rest of the info is kinda samey I waded through a bit of it (theres about 10 pages you can sod off if you think im that generous

On a side note this album is the fuckin bees knees, the first track is honestly the first song I could ever sit down and just listen to, its so dense yet minimal and his playing is godlike.
