"watch two half-hour network commercial television shows. log every commercial, what it's selling, and how it's selling it. log each character on the shows. what stereotypes are portrayed?"

i watched Everybody Loves Raymond last night, and i was incredibly depressed to think that some people actually watch sitcoms all night every night or even at all! horrible.

P.S. the stereotypes are that the TV moms/wives are always saintly and right and the husbands/dads are always cheapskate, boorish clowns.

I can deal with Raymond in small doses. It's dumb, but inoffensively funny, especially when compared to some of the other dreck out there.

people from that cast are nominated for emmys every year. now THAT I don't get.

That 70s Show is just about out of gas. You don't get much longevity when you base a show on high school teenagers. But it kicked ass simply cuz Chong was on it.
