Japs dude. Shitz last and hold their value. I love German cars but am not sure I could trust one, many are known to have electrical issues. American cars are absolutely out of the question. Well, I do want a '69 Pontiac Firebird, but cars back then only had 6 moving parts so if anything goes wrong I can put 'er back together using chewing gum and a cigarette butt.

I drive a Subaru and absolutely love my car, I couldn't be happier. Toyotas are the most reliable, but they are boring to drive and almost too practical. Nissans are the cheapest, but it shows. Honda and Subaru are tons of fun without sacrificing reliability or too much practicality, when I bought my WRX my only other choice was the Acura RSX (which does have more comfortable seats, but less power and is stoopid FWD). But I can I fit all my music and camping equipment in my car, and haul a shitload of ass on the way there. Win win.

When I walked into Subaru of Riverside, looked at the WRX that was soon to be mine, and saw the sticker saying 100% Manufactured and Assembled in Japan I started headbanging, like this: (beer included). So yeah, Japanese dude. Fuji Heavy Industries is their parent company, that sounds pretty Japanese.

Subarus are fantastic cars. Granted, they may not look as good as some Hondas, but they sure last a really long time.

Before my mom got a Lexus, she drove a Subaru Impreza for 10+ years. During that time they took it to a shop only one time, and it was for a minor problem.

I drove my wife's Accord for about 2 years, and that car was great. Never had any problems with it. I currently drive a Nissan, and everything works great so far.

For a new car, I'd go the Asian way.

Yep. We got rid of my Trailblazer since the wife got a company car. Man, what a money saver. They pay for insurance, gas, maintenance, and it's one less car note. So we're SUV-free, since the Murano is classified as an XUV (not a car, but not quite an SUV), and the gas mileage is SOOOOO much better. Plus it's a cheaper note since we got it through her work, AND they pay for the annual registration ($80). What a deal!!!!!

As far as the car, it drives great, and I have no complaints as of yet. It's a little girly looking, but it was originally her car, but with the savings we're reaping, I'll drive a semi-bitch car.

Yeah those things are cool, it's like you get all the utility of an SUV with none of the stupidity of bad mileage and poor road manners.

I want one of these dammit:

If the STi comes in wagon in the US (it does everywhere else in the world ) I'd probably trade my car in for one.
