Hello. I'm a dude who started listening to Heavy Metal one day and suddenly became addicted. That's how it started with pretty much all of us. In order, these are the bands I started with and continually went heavier:
1: Slipknot
2: Korn
3: Korn
4: More Korn
5: Mudvayne
6: Lamb of God
7: Deathlok
I must say, though, I love them all. Korn I pretty much stuck with for a VERY long time, because I became addicted to Coming Undone (we all did), so I bought the album it was on. Lamb of god has awesome ones like Redneck and Walk With Me In Hell. Mudvayne had Dull Boy, Happy?, Dig, and Fucking Determined. Deathlok had Duncan Hills Coffee and Metal World Rainbow.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Metal, and all of it's sub-genres, but Alternative Metal has had a great impact on me. Disturbed was, by far, the greatest. Bullet For My Valentine had some good ones.
I'm trying to start a band called Drive, with a Metallica feel to it. Drummer, Lead Guitarist, and Bassist are all up for spots. Contact me if you wish to join.
That's all me. You can call me Dakota if you like. Well, bye!
