I'm listening to it right now, amazing stuff, much like opeth, more agressive some times, more acoustic in anothers. Great realease !! Thumbs up !

I am not much familiar with this band, are the other releases like this one ? Any suggestion to dig into ??

I cant give you to much info, as I'm pretty new to them as well. However, I will agree the new album is great, Verdelet is a personal favorite. I'm really into ambient music as well, and another song from the guys I really enjoy is "Sephiroth Rising" off Raped By the Bastard Nazarene. Kinda creepy.

A lot of people are saying Chroronzon is a bad album though.
I am just a reasonably new fan, so my opinion may not count for as much as some of the more hardcore followers, but from what I have read the new album IS their best so far.

Akercocke are brilliant. The new album is definitely the release of the year imo. Choronzon is a brilliant album, Goat Of Mendes is good but awful production and a bit bland in comparison with their latest efforts. Can't remember Rape The Bastard Nazarene in the slightest.

Good album. Check out their album before this....

good album, tis veery interesting....only negative aspect is the over use of the cheesy laughing.:erk:

I was gonna buy Words that go Unspoken today, except I didn't have enough cash on me...grr. Apparently the CD in the place that i went to (Metal Mayhem, for you Melbournians) comes with a 7" vinyl. Anyone know what that would have in it?

I assume Akercocke is either a made up word or has a relevance to LaVeyan Satanism that i haven't found/heard yet. Ah well, not to worry!

Ahhh, reside in ultimate-guitar this one does.

I saw then with Opeth in the forum in 2005, they were really amazing live, sound was better then Opeth though I hate to admit it. Must check out their stuff...

... the dvd is so funny.
I know!! I was expecting a totally pretentious documentary, but I laughed my arse off from start to finish! Very good. Didn't know Darth Vader could play blast beats!
the new album sits much better as a whole than Choronzon. The production is much better, and the changes in mood are less random. Choronzon is inconsistent, but it's good. Leviathan is an awesome song ( but with one of the worst bits EVER in it 'Your breathing...' etc :yuk: ) and I got it for £7 when it was marked at £17.99, so I wasn't complaining :)
