Hey all
I just received this (so sorry for the late notice) regarding a benefit that's being held up at the Pound in San Francisco. So, if anyone is in the area here's a chance to help a great cause and have some headbanging fun at the same time!

Current and former members of MACHINE HEAD, SLAYER, TESTAMENT, EXODUS and DEATH ANGEL will comprise the "All-Star" guest lineup, which is scheduled to appear and participate at the Thrash Against Cancer benefit on July 9 at The Pound SF outdoor amphitheatre in San Francisco, California. Confirmed guests include:

Steve "Zetro" Souza (ex-EXODUS, LEGACY)
Phil Demmel (MACHINE HEAD, ex-VIO-LENCE)
Adam Duce (MACHINE HEAD)
Robert Flynn (MACHINE HEAD/ex-VIO-LENCE)
Paul Bostaph (EXODUS, ex-SLAYER, FORBIDDEN, TESTAMENT)
Mark Osegueda (DEATH ANGEL)
Dennis Pepa (DEATH ANGEL)
Rob Cavestany (DEATH ANGEL)
Derrick Ramirez (DRAGONLORD, ex-TESTAMENT, LEGACY)
Steev Esquivel (SKINLAB, ex-DEFIANCE)
Jon Allen (SADUS, ex-TESTAMENT)
Steve Digiorgio (SADUS, ex-TESTAMENT)
Glen Alvelais (ex-TESTAMENT, FORBIDDEN)
Chris Kontos (ex-MACHINE HEAD, TESTAMENT)
Steve Smyth (NEVERMORE, ex-TESTAMENT, VICIOUS RUMORS)

The Thrash Against Cancer benefit will be headlined by TESTAMENT and will feature additional performances by VICIOUS RUMORS, LAAZ ROCKIT, , AGENT STEEL, DEKAPITATOR, MUDFACE, NEIL TURBIN'S DEATHRIDERS (featuring original ANTHRAX vocalist Neil Turbin), DREAMS OF DAMNATION (featuring former DARK ANGEL guitarist Jim Durkin), BROCAS HELM , IMAGIKA, KAOS, RIGHTEOUS SIRE, ANGER AS ART (featuring ABBATOIR mainman Steve Gaines) and others, along with tribute band HOT FOR TEACHER (VAN HALEN cover band featuring former MACHINE HEAD/TESTAMENT drummer Chris Kontos and current HEATHEN touring guitarist Terry Lauderdale) and others.

The proceeds from the show will aid in the financial recovery for families dealing with life-altering medical diagnosis. Among the families that will benefit from the concert are Keith and Brandy Regan, whose son, Cole Regan, was born with cancer (leukemia / AML) and survived up until three months short of his second birthday before passing away on July 28, 2004. The show will also help other families who have who have children with pediatric cancer and are in severe need of help. These families struggle on a daily basis to pay for medicine and co-pays, not to mention household bills and other expenses, to keep their hopes and futures at a functioning level while battling to keep their child alive.

For those that didn't go you missed a killer show and a killer set by Testament with the original lineup. :headbang:

Vicious Rumours ended up not playing as well as Hot for Teachers but LA's own Hangar 18 kicked ass on the second stage.
