How the hell do you get 80's throwback thrash from Blood Tsunami?

I agree that the production values make it sound well into the 00's, but the part that (to me) sounds like a throwback to the 80's is the structure of some of the riffs - it sounds like they could have been ripped straight from a couple (i.e. two) Testament songs (ala The New Order). Aside from a few of the riff structures, there isn't much thrash at all on the album

The use of "variation of a theme" riffing is kind of one dimensional, but it doesn't hurt the album all too bad either. The name of the album was definitely in poor choice though.

random fact: I did however give this album a decent rating when I reviewed it, as it was my first published review :D




Also, Deicide is incredibly shitastic.
