I just got some blackouts yesterday and the guitar I'm putting them into is a Ibanez S Series in the H-S-H config...I dont want to leave that single coil as just a dummy pup so i was considering getting a blackout single coil (the AS-1) to to add to the guitar...can a 9v battery run three pickups? Reason I ask is because the S series is a thin body and I dont think two batteries are going to fit into the cavity. Anyone ran three actives off a single battery before? Severely decreased battery life? Funniest part is I probably wont even use it.:loco:

Yes, of course - for months - same as any other setup.

What kind of switch do you plan on using? Since standard Emg humbuckers don't split, I find 5 way switches cumbersome. If you're going to spend money on a single coil JUST for the matching looks, one option is to get a single coil cover with no holes instead and then use a 3 way switch.

Ok that's good news thanks. Well turns out the seymour duncans fit very nicely into my guitar...the pickups anyway. Pots are another story. Fuck it, just going to head over to a guitar tech and shell out cash for a pro job since some hole widening is required. sounds so dirty.
